"She did the Secretary of State job, she was a G, she held it down, she didn’t cry."

Ice-T, on why Hillary Clinton will be the first female president

The best part about this story is that the Huffington Post (via the AP) decided to explain to us what a “G” is. In case you didn’t know — it’s “the hip-hop term for gangster (a positive thing)”.

Hillary Clinton Says She Will Not Continue As Secretary of State Should President Obama Be Elected To A Second Term
“Everyone always says that when they leave these jobs.” Former First Lady, New York Senator, Presidential candidate, and current Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told  The Guardian  that she’s ready to take a step back, and see what toll 20 years in American politics has taken on her.

Hillary Clinton has said she wants to step off the “high wire of American politics”, again quashing speculation that she might stay in government if Barack Obama wins a second term in the White House.
She told state department employees on Thursday she was ready for a rest and is paying no attention to the Republican presidential candidate debates. She said she wanted to find out how tired she was after being first lady, senator, aspiring presidential candidate and finally the US secretary of state.
“I have made it clear that I will certainly stay on until the president nominates someone and that transition can occur [if Obama wins re-election,” she told a meeting. “But I think after 20 years, and it will be 20 years, of being on the high wire of American politics and all of the challenges that come with that, it would be probably a good idea to just find out how tired I am.”

Google Hacking Allegations ‘Very Serious’ Says Clinton

The FBI is to investigate “very serious” allegations that the Google mail accounts of senior US government officials have been attacked by Chinese hackers, said the secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, as the long-running war between the technology giant and the Chinese government escalated.

China hit back angrily at suggestions it was behind the “phishing” attacks on the email addresses of hundreds of targets, including senior military and government personnel from the US and South Korea. A spokesman for the Chinese foreign ministry called the accusation “a total fabrication” made by those “with ulterior motives”. “Hacking attacks are an international issue. China is also a victim,” Hong Lei told a press conference in Beijing.

According to Google, the scam targeted the Gmail accounts of “hundreds of users including, among others, senior US government officials, Chinese political activists, officials in several Asian countries (predominantly South Korea), military personnel and journalists”. A cabinet-level official in the US government was among those whose Gmail password was stolen and whose data was compromised, an officialtold the Washington Post.

Clinton told reporters the US was disturbed by the reports. “These allegations are very serious,” she said. “We take them seriously. We are looking into them.”

In case anybody forgot, both Hillary Clinton and John McCain attacked then Sen. Obama for saying he’d go into Pakistan to get Osama bin Laden. Multiple times during the campaign, both Clinton and McCain tried to make the claim that Sen. Obama’s inexperience with defense/foreign policy issues was what allowed him to have such a stance. McCain would also try to portray Obama’s statements as a declaration he’d invade Pakistan if he thought OBL was there.(source: TPM)
